Stay one step ahead of the game

The early bird catches the worm and the early bird will also be the first in the queue to hear about rods made available from all the FishDee Beats as well as all the fishing reports and prospects reports. Just fill in the subscription details here http://www.fishpal.com/Scotland/Dee/Subscribe.asp?dom=Dee which is free of charge. I’ve just entered mine for the next two years, so as soon as anything that’s of interest is made available-I will know about it first.

Fabulous Headinch & Cambus O’May

Headinch & Cambus O’May

Headinch & Cambus 2

For anglers looking for a delightful beat to visit and fish, then Headinch and Cambus O’May have a lot to offer the visiting angler. This unique beat has a rare River Dee characteristic, in that it is virtually double bank fishing, for over 5 miles, which of course provides ample space for anglers to fish over 21 pools during the fishing season. Most of the fishing is from both banks, with only 5 pools at the top of the beat with fishing on one bank only. The beat produces fish throughout the fishing season from March through until the end of September. There are a diverse range of pools to suit anglers where some can be fished from the bank and other pools which can be waded. The scenery is quite beautiful with a lot of interesting flora and fauna to be observed from the river bank and of course the Cairngorm Mountains in the background. Three year average rod catch for the beat 172 salmon & grilse and 45 sea trout. See below for a holiday lodge in the middle of this beat and walkable to the river from the house.  Birkelunn is accessible to all the south side pools of this beat, the north has to be driven.
