This wonderful evening’s entertainment is jointly hosted by Howard Butterworth and his daughters Sarah & Mary in conjunction with George Strachan’s Store in Aboyne. In recognition of their fundraising efforts and support for the River Dee Trust, Whyte & Mackay, the makers of the hugely successful Dalmore Dee Dram are laying on an evening’s fine single malt whisky tasting at the art gallery as a gesture of thanks for their unstinting support of the River Dee. Numbers will be restricted to 50 on the night by reservation.
Visitors will be able to sample some of their finest single malt whiskies with a brand ambassador on hand to explain the intricacies and techniques that go into the production of Scotland’s biggest and finest export product. There will be transport laid on from Aberdeen, Banchory and Aboyne to transport guests to the gallery and the event will run from 7.30pm until 9.30 pm. For those that are wishing to stay over on Royal Deeside, Sarah has negotiated some favourable rates at Potarch and Loch Kinord Hotel Lava Jewellery will also be showcasing some of their handcrafted silver & gold designer pieces. It promises to be a really great fun evening with Mary & Howard giving an insight into how they create the wonderful paintings they produce. There will be canapés served along with the selection of fine single malts and there may be some surprise entertainers making ad hoc appearances during the event.
